5,000bpd Modular Refinery Commissioning & Groundbreaking for 45,000 Refinery
- Waltersmith Refining & Petrochemical Company Limited (WRPC) is currently developing a 50,000bpd refinery situated near the Ibigwe Field flowstation through a phased expansion strategy.
Signing Ceremony with UNIDO & UNECA for our Industrial & Innovation Park
- Waltersmith, UNIDO & UNECA signed a Technical support agreement with respect to the development of an Industrial Park by Waltersmith which will attract petrochemical, pharmaceutical, research and other light manufacturing companies that feed off the hydrocarbon value chain.

Attained production rate of 7,000 bopd
- Waltersmith attained production rate of 6,000boepd and drilled Ibigwe 9,10,11wells.
Concluded the drilling, work over and completion of 4 wells
- Concluded the drilling work-over and completion of 4 wells. Production also ramped up to circa 4,400boepd and a 15,000boepd flow station was installed. Waltersmith also acquired interest in OML 34 as part of the ND Western Consortium.
Commenced 2nd phase of workover & 4 drilling campaign.

- Waltersmith participated in the first Nigerian Marginal Oil Field licensing round organized by the FGN and was awarded the Ibigwe Field located in OML 16.
Waltersmith became a wholly owned Nigerian company
- Waltersmith became a wholly-Nigerian owned company.

- Incorporation of the company as a joint venture between Waltersmith & Associates and Petroman Oil Limited.
